Recipe – Hot White Chocolate

The ‘Hot White Chocolate with Cinnamon and Marshmallow Foam’ is created by the famous Matt Preston in the television series of Masterchef Australia.

Recipe by Matt Preston – Masterchef Australia

What I really love on a cold winters’ day is a hot chocolate. Whether it is a white chocolate – which is not official chocolate – or milk chocolate or pure chocolate, I love them all! So I was wondering is there a nice recipe with some new creation. Because Masterchef is my favourite television food program, I started searching there for a recipe and I found it! The spring holiday just started so time to make use of this recipe during this week on a nice evening.

The ingredients:

For the hot chocolate:

  • 150 grams good quality white chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 250 ml milk
  • 2 cinnamon quills
  • chocolate biscuits, to serve with the chocolate

For the Marshmallow Foam:

  • 80 grams white marshmallows
The method:

For the ‘Hot White Chocolate with Cinnamon:
Divide chocolate between 2 cups. Place milk in a saucepan and set over medium heat. Once milk is at a simmer, remove from heat and pour into cups over white chocolate. Serve with a cinnamon quill and serve with a chocolate biscuit.

For the Marshmallow Foam:
Place marshmallows in a microwave safe bowl. Place in the microwave on high until marshmallow has puffed and risen, about 45 seconds. Serve on top of cup muffins or white chocolate.

Recipe from the Masterchef Television series: The recipe original. Rated with 4 / 5 stars. Credits belong to them and to Matt Preston the original creator.

Finally serve your ‘Hot White Chocolate with Cinnamon and Marshmallow Foam on a nice little tea or coffee plate together with the biscuit and you could serve the cinnamon quill also on top of the hot chocolate.

Have a nice drink!

Greetings by Sophie
