I hope you like the book too. It is worth to read it! I am not telling about the story too much– never do in my book reviews – you have to read the book yourself and make your own opinion.

The ABOUT –> not the story only connected to news/real world etcetera the EXPLANATION, PREJUDICES?

This book is already the tenth sequel in the series named ‘Politieserie’ and written by Ben de Raaf. It is exciting and when you have read a few sequels this is a nice new story. This time the detective Roel Westland is following another part of the police department. The harbor scene which is really big in Rotterdam. It is a story which is not exceptional and something you would expect sortly that would occur. But nonetheless it is nice such a story is written as well. Just normal and it really looks like based on a real event. The author has been a police officer himself so you can imagine how real the things of the story have been.

Writing style / spelling

Halfway through the book I discovered a few spelling / word mistakes but it did not bother me that much. So this sequel is nicely written and your read it quite quick too. Not too much information all in one page. The story accelerates towards the end and I have most of it read at once within a few hours.

Main characters

The main character of the series is of course Roel Westland. The detective who works in this sequel already more than ten years as a police man. His wife Ingrid and their little son Sander are getting a more important role too. And he has some new colleagues he works with. Named Peter Stout and the prosecutor Charissa Belonje.

If you read the series, this is a sequel you would not want to skip.
