Redesign and Introduction Sophie’s Tech

Hi readers!

Sophie’s Blog has a new logo and the blog is redesigned!
The past couple of weeks I have been thinking about refocusing and therefor redesigning the blog. My interests are widely spread and vary from books, films, series, sports and travel to code, gadgets, games and other tech-related stuff. Because both areas have sometimes the same but often a different audience, I decided to – after five years of blogging them together on this blog – separate them.

The past years I have combined all my interests on this blog because of my major study background in Media & Entertainment Management and my most recent study background in Software Engineering.

Sophie’s Tech

Sophie’s Tech is just launched! And focuses on code, gaming, gadgets and the techie lifestyle.

My recent study in Software Engineering has teached me a lot and when I look around, I hear people talking about the curiosity of learning how to code. Code is cool, code is fun, code is hip and happening more and more and more. But code is not the only tech thing I am interested in. Summarised I show you my point of view. It can be that you do not like the way I code or talk about it, or do not like a game or or gadget as much or as less as I do. And in that case I am very curious to your point of view.

Since I became a young woman, who as a young adult has currently a wide background in two studies. I love to be busy with photography, gadgets related to it or stuff that brightens up your life in a more simplistic techie way. And I love to game! Since I was a little girl and my family gave me my first games to play. As a start to learn about the Dutch language and the basics of math. From that moment on I fell in love with gaming. Playing a soccer game against my brother with Fifa 2000, building a hotel with Sim Tower, building the world with Sim City and even playing Sydney 2000. It was the official Olympics game of that year. Good nostalgic memories, and back to reality:

The main topics explained are:

Code

To explain the multi languages of code and lots of facts, organised in small topics that focuses on it’s main part.

Mostly covering what I learned during my study Software Engineering, updated to today’s status.

Gaming

Gaming and therefor I write reviews about a game to share with you my experience.

This is dependent of course a bit on the used platform and technology, but in all a wide variety for a wide taste.

Gadgets

Using gadgets for your camera for photography fun, for gaming or your home, for sports with data insights and other stuff that is tech and gives more insights and ease into your life.

Lifestyle

Everything in my life related to an efficient and techie lifestyle.

I do not only write about code but also film some projects to give a hands-on example that you can use in your own path of learning about technology and code.

From mobile games to the Personal Computer, from the Playstation 2 through the Playstation 3, the Playstation Vita, the Playstation 4 and the upcoming Playstation 5.
From the Game Boy Color, through the Game Boy Advanced, the Nintendo DS to the Nintendo 3DS XL.
