I hope you like the series too. It is worth to watch it! I am not telling too  much about the story – never do in my reviews – you have to see the series yourself and make your own opinion.

In my view…

When I started watching this series a couple of months ago, I did not know if I would like all the action in the episodes and the storyline. Does the series Arrow look like the old series Lost? I was thinking about that because of the island and the jungle of the island. But no, they are really two different series.

The main characters

The main character in the first season is the billionaire twenty-something Oliver Queen. He is a guy who was lost, has been on an uncharted island for five years and experienced there a lot. Nice things and less nice things. Throughout the season (and the following seasons) this is becoming more and more clear. When Oliver after five years came back from the island, he brought a secret to Starling City.

Main characters besides Oliver Queen is his mother Moira Queen and her new husband Walter Steele. Also important are his younger sister Thea Queen, best friend Tommy Merlyn and their mutual friend Laurel Lance. Aid always comes from unexpected sources. Two other beautiful characters in the series are those of John Diggle and Felicity Smoak.

Maybe I will write another blog post about the character Felicity Smoak, she is so smart! So incredibly good and the actress Emily Bett Rickards plays here role perfectly. A real IT – girl, hé that’s what I am currently studying…

The story is so complex, I would not miss an episode otherwise you miss so many facts. And to watch every episode attentively and then have finished the first seasons…it continues…but it is so beautiful!

My rating is a 9,5 / 10 and it is not a 10 because all those flashbacks to the island happen so suddenly and the pace of the information given accelerates so sometimes it feels like: “Wait, did I miss already something or not?” but otherwise I think this first season is perfect for me! If the second season can keep my attention…we will see in the next review about Arrow!

This is definitely my favourite action and adventure series!

First episode

Oliver Queen has been considered dead for five years. You see flashes of the island throughout the series. Oliver and his dad are assumed to be dead, drowned by the crash of their yacht. But they both survived the crash. Oliver returns to Starling City after been five years on a nearby island of the crash. The happenings there, turned him into becoming someone else, becoming something else; a green hooded archer. ‘The Hood’

The first episode of this first season had it’s première on 3 February 2013. The 23rd and last episode of this season was on 7 July 2013.
