This challenge is a well known challenge in the series of #100DaysOfX challenges. Many people in the bookcommunity have heard about it, sometimes participated in it, and are hosting also often their own “[numberofdays][reading]” challenges or “[time/theme based][readathon]”s. The #100DaysOfX challenges exists for circa 3 years now.
A Restart for some Reasons
This summer I started with the idea to perform this challenge. In the middle of my four-week-lasting exam weeks. I created the format for my three challenges but I did not really prepare it. I did not plan the content of the subjects nor the time frame in full. And meanwhile I had exams and began to feel exhausted of the biggest stressful year of study.
So after a short while I ran into some challenges and major milestones that had and have a higher priority in life and are also fun!. You can read this in full in my The Seasonal Column named ‘Summer Summary and Fall Preview’.
But to give you an idea of it: I explained the need for a proper break during summer to clear my head from a extremely busy stressful year of studying. I wrote about my journey for a nice job and I was also moving from Rotterdam to ‘s-Hertogenbosch with all the can-you-imagine house projects that are continuous for now. Such as buying a fridge and nowadays a Christmas Tree. So yeah, that’s life. And stay in the same rhythm for completing challenges of #100DaysX is a already a planning challenge haha. But that makes it fun and these are lessons for life as well.
The Restart
After ‘My November Birthday Weekend!‘ and last weekend’s digital family event, I restart today the 7th of December 2020 the #100DaysOfReading challenge!

My #100DaysOfReading challenge
The hashtag #100DaysOfReading is a challenge to read, at least an hour a day, about – the theory behind or usage of – code. Topics related to and in addition to my other challenges: #100DaysOfCode and #100DaysOfSoftwareEngineering. The blog posts about those challenged can be found at my other blog ‘Sophie’s Tech‘.
The goal is to read an hour a day and after finishing a book I will write a book review. The goal is not to read a certain amount of pages every day, but to read at least an hour a day and learn something from it to use for the bite sized blog posts.
