Charmed | The Power of Three – Eliza Willard

My book review of “The Power of Three [EN] / De Betovering Begint [NL] ” written by Eliza Willard

In my view…

Two sisters living together in their grandmother inheritance house in San Francisco. Suddenly their other sister turns up. Coming back home from living in New York, due to problems. You think when you pick up a book to read and it is about magic, the characters have already those powers – aware or unaware – and that it is probably a total different language. A real fantasy. These series about the Charmed Ones just use normal word, rhymes, sentences…looks like instantly made poems.

While I am writing this it reminds me of the first book of the Harry Potter series. Harry Potter was unaware as well and needs wand to make magic. Though the language is different.

The writing style is oke, a few grammar and spelling mistakes.

It is a little different story than when you have seen the television series. Or at least the first season. I am wondering for example: where is the cat?

The main characters in the first few books are: Prue – the eldest sister, Piper – the middle one and Phoebe – the youngest and the one who is coming home.

The books are all around 200 pages so a nice short addition if you have seen the series. But I prefer the series. The books have different writers so the writing style changes and sometimes its just not that thrilling.

I am not telling about the story – never do in my book reviews – you have to read the book yourself and make your own opinion. I hope you like the book too. It is worth to read it!

Greetings by Sophie
