I hope you like the book too. It is worth to read it as a short story. I am not telling about the story too much– never do in my book reviews – you have to read the book yourself and make your own opinion.

In my view…

The story is written by the perspective of a female main character. Mrs. Mieke Zuidkerken. She is married to Thom and they have two daughters named Roos and Femke. The story reads in a fine speed and in the beginning it isn’t clear that you are reading a thriller. The first half of the book reads like a normal novel. Not too romantic and not too much drama. The author Linda van Rijn has written this short story of only 105 small pages in a very clever way.

The whole story takes place on a camping in southern France. Where exactly I didn’t discover so no places added to my ‘Traveling Places Through Books’ .

Halfway the book you suddenly discover you are really reading a thriller again. The tension is building with every page. And the cliffhanger is very short. Suddenly the story is at an end. But in a nice acceptable way. Nothing more needs to be told, everything is clear. A complete short story!

The writing style is nice because I did not find some grammar or spelling mistakes – maybe I missed one because I didn’t note it in my notebook – but this makes that you can read it in just one sit!

I hope this book will be translated to English one day too!

Enjoy this little story!

Greetings by Sophie
