In my view…
A futuristic film about a drone repairer who is one of the few humans who is living on the earth. A war that happened decades ago destroyed the earths’ moon and with it most of its’ surface. Living on earth is not possible anymore so to the moon from Saturn or are asleep in a space station waiting to be shipped to another world.
It is an astonishing film but the pace of it is not that fast. You would think at least…
In the beginning the film is slowly explaining it’s story. Happening through indirect flashbacks. Yeah you realize you have seen one afterwards. The end of the film is of the same structure though the pace is twice as fast in the last hour. It is an easy film to follow, by actions and the mystery. The story is a bit complicated but if you have seen Inception, TRON or The Imitation Game, this is a film you probably like too! The music is not written by Hans Zimmer but is has those specific features that let’s you think it is.
Tom Cruise plays a wonderful role and even some hard acting skills come forward. Halfway the film you can get confused, but there are little details that makes the difference. And all this little stuff is important to fully understand the film until the end. The end of the film ends with a flashback told story, but it something like “…a few years later…”
The film is part of the genres: action, adventure, mystery and science-fiction. There is enough action, not too much. The whole story is an adventure and it took me until the end of the film to discover the mystery as an “Ooh that”. The science-fiction is really obvious and actually that is what I like most about it. All the technology and missions going back and forth. And the music fits very well with the scenes. It’s not perfect. But it is just good and accompanied with nice music.
Enjoy watching the film!
The trailer:
I am not telling about the story – never do in my film reviews – you have to see the film yourself and make your own opinion. I hope you like the film too. It is worth to watch it multiple times.

I love sci-fi and enjoyed this movie immensely but I’m afraid the story was too convoluted and not clearly explained for my understanding. I’ve seen it a couple of times and researched it a bit but I’m still not sure exactly who was what to whom. Still I would recommend it to ski-fi lovers.
