In my view…
This film is a true story about the life of Bethany Hamilton during her youth and a tragic accident that changed here life. But did it change her life completely? Yes in a certain way…This film is inspiring, incredible! The strength someone has to go on, to fight for the things you love. There is always another way to cope with it.
You hear in the news sometimes (rarely here in Europe) that there has been a shark attack. I wonder how it is for people living next to it. In the area of the sharks and the big great blue ocean with it’s high waves.
The story of the real Bethany is really good performed by AnnaSophia Rob. Amazing how you can surf with a limb less. The family is played Dennis Quad (father) and Helen Hunt (mother), her two brothers Ross Thomas (Noah) and Chris Brochu (Timmy) and her best friend Lorraine Nicholson (Alana Blanchard). In real life Alana is the best friend of Bethany, since they were young.
They all fullfill their role really really good, it’s incredible.
This is one of my favourite films definitely!
You really go with the flow in the film. Literally and figuratively. This film is a really recommended for surfers, women, families, boys & girls who love a sport. Everybody
I am not telling about the story – never do in my film reviews – you have to see the film yourself and make your own opinion. I hope you like the film too. It is worth to watch it multiple times.
