In my view…

Spectral (2016) is a film that touches a lot of genres with each a little bit of the story. It’s full of action, the enemy is a science-fiction mystery and the scene and timing feels like the beginning of an outbreak of war. World War III possibly if this would be real. The enemy is a ‘thing’ or a person that can’t be beaten by bullets. So the army is forceless without the help of a scientist and the new high-tech gear – the nice high-tech accessories the army is wearing to beat this threat.

How you interpret the term high-tech and imagine such items, could be completely different from the perspective of another person. In this film, the high-tech is partly pre-build before the mission and partly build during the mission and the whole story. That perspective is nice to see.

The cast of the film is diverse and it feels like, except for the scientist and the special agent and commander, that everyone has the same size of role. I really like that. It is not too centered on the main characters and every personage has a real addition to the story.

It is a film that is quite realistic – for me as just a citizen of a big city – to be developed or happen within 25 or 50 years. You never know how quick and up till how far certain technologies, people and their imaginations, grow. My rating is a 8 out of 10 on IMDb because I am still curious for what happens in the ending part what you can obviously imagine, you know the brain of the enemy literally and figuratively, but you won’t see. Feels like a – little minuscule but very important fact – missing scene.

This film is a Netflix Original so you can only watch it on Netflix.

In my reviews I am writing in descriptive facts and about the  feelings. Not telling about the story – never do in my film reviews – you have to see the film yourself and make your own opinion. I hope you like the film too. It is worth to watch it multiple times.
