My game review of ‘Crafting Idle Clicker – Halloween 2022’ edition published by Bling Bling Games

The game ‘Crafting Idle Clicker’ is one I tried a bit more than a year ago on my phone and later on the PC version on Steam. For Halloween they have introduced an event challenge named ‘Workshop of Horrors’ where you create and upgrade a different set of items than the normal game. It is a free expansion and only available in the season of Halloween. Because it is an expansion this is a short review.
A small explanation:
It is an idle game so you do not really have to do much. You can click as much as you want but you can also set up the system of the game and be patient. There is a short introduction and it is quite easy to play. The colored arrows show if you have enough items to use as a source for more advanced items. In the photo above you see that the production of the item ‘Pumpkin Pie’ is off and the source of pumpkins is used for the creation of Jack-O’-Lantern. By investing in scientists you unlock quicker an advanced item after which you are able to buy it if you gather enough money.
The game has several goals that help you to level up. For completing a goal you get a point and to complete the level you need to reach a certain amount of points. This way you can decide yourself how to complete the level. You can follow the goals in order or you can excel in the amount of profit and earn more points than requested for the level.
Style
The style of the game, compared to the normal Crafting Idle Clicker game, has not changed except for the items and their related images. The gameplay is exactly the same for the Halloween challenge as for the main game. Each level up also doubles the value of an item and therefor the first items you unlock will be easier to unlock in each following level up.

Experience
Because it is a temporary event it is a bit more challenging to complete the game in a short amount of time. You really have to figure out the best strategy for investment. How much and when will you start investing in your scientists? Do you buy auto sellers or do you leave them and decide yourself when you sell an item? And how far will you level up each item?
Those questions are important to ask yourself when you play the game. And not once but frequently. Each new level at least or when you are halfway the goals.
Characters
There are no characters in the game since it is only about you and the items. The ‘dynasty’ part is confusing and I do not use it so no, no characters in how I play it.
